RAFSA Terms and Conditions

Membership Entitlement.

The following categories are entitled:

a. All serving and retired personnel of the Royal Air Force and Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force Nursing Service.

b. Members of the other Armed Forces of the Crown serving with the Royal Air Force.

c. Personnel of Commonwealth and Allied Forces during any period in which they are serving under Royal Air Force command.

d. Members of the Royal Air Force Reserves and University Air Squadrons.

e. The dependants of serving personnel (immediate family, apply for full membership). Dependants under the age of 18 are entitled to free membership.

f. MOD Civil servants serving in RAF related appointments.

g. Other civilians who provide a demonstrable benefit to RAFSA e.g. instructors. (Such members shall need the prior approval of the Trustees). Please contact rafsamembership@gmail.com if you wish to gain approval in this category.

h. Honorary / Life members who have been approved by the Board of Trustees.  Please contact rafsamembership@gmail.com if you qualify for this.

Ensigns and Permits

  • Your boat must be registered (Part 1 or SSR (Small Ships Register))

  • The boat must be 2 tons or greater than 7 metres if not.

  • You must fly the burgee and ensign together

  • You must be on board when flying the ensign.
