The RAFSA Super Series is a handicap fleet 4 event series made up of 3 one day events and the RAFSA Dinghy ‘Brady’ Championships. This series is design to get more RAFSA sailors involved sailing any dinghy at a variety of locations located near RAF Units. The main points of the Super Series are as follows:-
Brize Britannia- 4 May 23 – Oxford SC
Odiham Whirlwind- 15 Jun 23 (Postponed) – Burghfield SC
Rutland Harrier – 20th May 23 – Rutland SC
Brady Trophy- 4th – 5th Oct 23 – Rutland SC (2000 Class only)
Scoring will be best 2 single day events + non discardable Brady Trophy to try to improve numbers for the Brady.
Single day events open to all monohull dinghies between a Laser 4.7/ ILCA 4 & RS400, this decision has been made due to the expected wide spread across the fleet.
Racing will be handicap racing / or a pursuit race.
Scoring will be against the individual rather than the boat which will allow people to sail multiple classes and with multiple crews (accounting for personal deployed)
Handicap will be the Great Lakes Handicap system (919 – 1160) as used in SailJuice Winter Series, very similar to PY just uses results only on lakes to remove the benefits of some classes surfing downwind.
The series is open to all RAFSA, RNSA and ASA members serving or civilian.
The cost of each event is £10 and you can book your place by selecting the event and paying through the website. If you’re not a RAFSA member with a website login then please email superseries@dinghy.rafsa.org.uk for further guidance for entry and payment.
